Polar Plunge Challenge

Take the plunge and help raise the $33,000 needed to replace the boathouse roof!  We are looking for individuals young and old to jump in and support this worthy cause.

The boathouse is an iconic part of Beaver Camp's history and current operation. It houses two camper cabins and storage for waterfront equipment.  Our plan is to replace the shingles with black standing seam metal. This will keep with the building's character and appearance, and it last indefinitely.   If our fundraising is successful, we will replace the roof in early March of 2025!  Any additional money raised will go towards other facility projects.

Get Involved

Jumpers, here's how this works:

1. Let Beaver Camp know how much money you are pledging to raise.

Fill out this PDF form and return it to the camp office or click here to fill out an online form.

2. Share this information with your friends, family and community so they can help you reach your goal.

You can share this PDF or link with your connections.

If your sponsors are giving online, please have them click here and share these instructions with them:

  • Select one-time donation (or become an AMCAPartner* and select monthly donor!)
  • Enter the amount of the donation
  • Enter the name of the person you are sponsoring in "Donation Note"
  • Select "Polar Plunge 2025"
  • Enter donor & payment information

*If you become an AMCAPartner, the first 12 months will be dedicated to the boathouse roof. Future donations beyond the first 12 months can be dedicated to other purposes such as the campership, endowment or general funds or pick another special project to support!

3. Invite your family and supporters to join us at 11AM, March 1 at Beaver Camp as you take the plunge!

Hot drinks, warm food and a warm indoor fire will be available afterwards!

We will post videos after the plunge here.

Want to do more than just get wet?

We are looking for volunteers to help tear off the old and prepare for the new roof in early March. Contact Mike Judd at 315-376-2640 or mike@beavercamp.org if you are interested.
