Covid-19 Updates

Update - May 22, 2020

We have made the difficult decision to cancel our 2020 children’s camp program.

This decision was not made lightly. The board, staff and I considered multiple options, along with the recommendations of the American Camp Association and the CDC. It is hard to imagine not spending a week in your favorite cabin at camp. But we must prioritize the safety of each staff and camper.

Our mission to provide a space infused by God’s love where people are invited to establish and grow in their relationship with Christ and others remains unchanged!

We know nothing can substitute what a week at Beaver Camp means to you, but our summer staff are working on resources you can use at home to encourage, educate, and entertain in true Beaver Camp style. Information about these free videos and other resources will be shared on Facebook and beavercamp.org.

We’re also excited to offer Beaver Camp in a Box. This personalized crate brings the summer camp experience right to you. It includes a devotional, 2020 t-shirt, water bottle, activity challenges, supplies to write and connect with staff, and more. You can preorder your box until June 20th.

If you have already registered for camp this summer: we know that many of you are suffering financially as a result of this pandemic and our normal refund policy has been suspended. We are also offering the option to carry your deposit over to 2021 or for you to purchase Beaver Camp in a Box. You may also wish to donate part of what you paid for camp. Please contact our office at 315-376-2640 or This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. to let us know your preference.

When this passes – and it will pass – Beaver Camp will be here and ready. There will be camp games, and dinner bells, and songs around the campfire. This will still be a place for you to grow.

Sincerely,
Mike Judd
Executive Director

In an effort to comply with recent regulations and in the best interest of our guests over the next few weeks, we have decided to cancel the April 3-4, 2020 Scrapbook Retreat. We will be contacting registrants over the next few days to determine if they prefer to move their registration to a fall retreat or receive a full refund. We are sorry for the inconvenience!

Dear Campers and Guests,

The staff are busy preparing and praying for the 2020 camp and retreat season at Beaver Camp!

Please know that Beaver Camp is committed to the well-being of each camper, guest and staff member. Our mission to be a safe and healthy space where people of all ages and backgrounds are invited to establish and grow in their walk with Christ continues to be our focus.

We are in regular communication with NY Department of Health in regards to Covid-19, actively examining our cleaning procedures as well as our arrival screenings and health response procedures. We are working hard to ensure that we meet or exceed standards required by the Department of Health.

Currently, all our 2020 programs are still on! In order to help you register with confidence, we have updated our registration guidelines as follows;

  • If you have already registered and wish to exercise caution, contact us about moving to a program later in the summer or year.
  • Understanding you may be waiting to make your summer camp reservation we are extending our May 1 early bird discount to May 15, 2020.
  • In the event you need to cancel your registration due to illness or circumstances related to Covid-19, you will receive a full refund (including deposit).
  • If Beaver Camp makes the decision to cancel a program, you will receive a full refund (including deposit).
  • If you are coming to Beaver Camp as part of a field trip, reunion or church retreat, please contact your group coordinator for updated plans regarding your event.

If you are scheduled to spend time at camp in the next few weeks, please stay home if you are sick or at risk.

For accurate information on how you can protect your family right now, we suggest resources found at NYS Department of Health and the Centers for Disease Control.

We are committed to keeping you updated of any changes in our plans, policies, or procedures. If you have any questions or concerns you are welcome to contact me at (315) 376-2640 or This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..

Thank you for your continued support of Beaver Camp. We look forward to an amazing summer and year. See you soon!
